Changes in listserve services at the
Institute for Child Health Policy

Summary:

The Institute for Child Health Policy has purchased a new server and installed an upgraded version of Lyris ListManager to handle our email discussion lists. All lists currently running on the Mailman listserve system will be moved. The main noticeable change will be the email address used to post messages to the list, for example:

Old list name: list-name@listserv.ichp.ufl.edu

New list name: list-name@mchenet.ichp.ufl.edu

As you can see, only the domain name (everything after the ‘@’ symbol) will be changed.

Important:

With the escalating battle between spammers and spam filters, it’s important to take a few extras steps to ensure successful delivery of messages.

  1. Add the new listserve email address to your personal address book.
  2. Request that your IT/computer support department add the new domain name to their "safe senders" list so that your organization's mail server will allow delivery of the emails. The IP and domain names are as follows:
    128.227.39.5 = it-ad07.ichp.edu & mail.ichp.ufl.edu
    128.227.39.8 = mchenet.ichp.ufl.edu

We will send a message through your old listserve address and then we will send a TEST message through the new list immediately afterwards. The TEST message will have the word TEST in the subject.

If you do not receive the TEST message please contact us through the helpdesk.

Listserve services at the Institute for Child Health Policy are provided free of charge to the Maternal & Child Health community. If you have any questions about this service please direct them to the helpdesk.
